"bird sutra "

概要:
癌と闘った母との、痛みを枕に刺繍しました。
​
あのとき、私の枕元にいた小さな鳥。
その身体の輪郭を繰り返しなぞる作業は、写経のようです。私にとって小鳥の形は完成された美であり、それを正確に針で刺していくことは、報恩であり眼差しであるのです。

それは相対する世界、夢と現実、生と死、痛みと安らぎ、の行き来の中に生まれたものです。

I embroidered pain into a pillow, in memory of my mother who fought cancer.

Back then, a little bird stayed by my bedside.
​Tracing the outline of its body again and again felt like a meditative act, similar to copying sutras. For me, the form of a small bird represents perfect beauty. To stitch it with a needle is both a gesture of repaying a quiet debt of gratitude and an act of gaze.

This work was created in the space between opposing states—dream and daylight, life and death, pain and peace.
