概要:
羽根の「目に見えない世界の秩序」を捉えて可視化する機能を、装置として立ち上げるインスタレーション。

羽根のプリントは木綿糸で吊られ、鑑賞者の行き来などで生じる空気のわずかな動きや流れに応じて揺れる。
中央には、塩の山の上に吊られた一枚のプリントが静かに位置し、その周囲を取り囲むように複数のプリントが同じく吊られている。これらが沈黙の中心となり、場の構造を形づくる。

AIをはじめとするインタラクティブメディアによって思考や判断の主体が揺らぐ現代において、私は「信じずにどう生きるか」という前提に立つ。
羽根が示す沈黙は世界との微かな共振であり、誰もがその存在によって世界の当事者であるという静かな倫理のあり方を提示する。

本作の構想にあたり、対話型AI（ChatGPT）と対話を重ねた（喧嘩もした）。それらの対話は思考実験として作品に組み込まれ、その対話のログをまとめた冊子を会場に展示した。

「静かな倫理」
羽根は飛ぶための構造であり、そこに宿る美は機能美である。

生命の一部だった羽根は、主であった鳥から切り離された痕跡であり、滑空のための機能を失って沈黙している。それでも羽根は依然として主の存在を記憶している。軽量かつ繊細な構造により、わずかな空気の動きや流れ（＝目に見えない世界の秩序）を鋭敏に捉え、それを可視化する。

本作における羽根は「スピリチュアル」な霊性や象徴ではない。神秘的あるいは超越的な存在へのアクセス、すなわち信仰や思想を必要としない。場を成立させるための実在的な空間装置である。
塩は浄化や祈りを通して、生命の循環と繋がりを象徴する。

現代において、私たちの思考や判断は、AIを含むインタラクティブメディアによって外部化されつつある。これらの技術は、情報へのアクセスを拡大する一方で、情報過多によって判断を複雑にし、その結果、思考の主体性は希薄になり、判断のプロセス自体が外部環境に依存する。

ニーチェは「神は死んだ」と述べ、かつて人々を支えていた絶対的な価値基盤（神、真理、道徳）が失われたことを宣言した。この喪失によって、私たちは「何を信じて生きるか」ではなく、「信じずにどう生きるか」を問われている。私はこの前提に立ち、意味が与えられない世界といかに関係しうるかを探っている。

羽根は、語りかけたり意味を求めたりはしない。「沈黙の中心」として、微かな応答性を通じて、世界との接続を肯定するだけである。沈黙は発言と同等に自律的表現であり、感受を引き受ける行為である。この作品は、主体性や自己実現を軸とした近代的価値観とは異なる、開かれた静かな倫理の実践である。沈黙や孤独は世界との断絶ではなく共振であり、誰もがその存在によって世界との関係性を担う当事者である。沈黙は責任が伴う。ゆえに私は意味の解釈を鑑賞者に委ねない。

An installation that activates the feather’s function of perceiving and visualizing the unseen order of the world as a device.

Each feather print is suspended with cotton thread and moves in response to subtle air currents generated by the viewer’s movement.
At the center, a single print hangs above a mound of salt, and several others are suspended around it, forming the silent core that shapes the structure of the site.

In a present shaped by interactive media, including AI, where the subject of thought and judgment is unsettled, I stand on the premise of asking how to live without believing.
The silence shown by the feathers is a faint resonance with the world, suggesting a quiet ethics in which each person, by their very existence, is a participant in the world.

In developing this work, I engaged in many conversations with a conversational AI (ChatGPT), sometimes even arguing with it. These dialogues became part of the conceptual experiment embodied in the work, and a selection of the logs was compiled into a booklet and exhibited in the gallery.

Quiet Ethics
A feather is a structure for flight; the beauty it contains is the beauty of function.

Once part of a living body, the feather is now a trace severed from its former owner, the bird. It has lost its gliding function and is silent, yet it still holds the memory of that presence. Because of its light and delicate form, it detects minute currents of air, the invisible order of the world, and makes them visible.

In this work, the feather does not carry spiritual or symbolic meaning. It offers no access to anything mystical or transcendent and asks for no belief or doctrine. It serves instead as a real spatial device that enables the formation of place. Salt symbolizes purification, prayer, and the cycles and connections of life.

Today, our thinking and judgment are increasingly externalized through interactive media, including AI. These technologies broaden access to information, yet the resulting excess complicates decision-making, and the autonomy of thought diminishes while the process of judgment leans more heavily on external environments.

Nietzsche’s claim that “God is dead” declared the loss of absolute foundations such as God, truth, and morality that once supported human beings. After that loss, the question is no longer what we should believe, but how we can live without believing. From that premise, this work considers how one might remain in relation to a world to which no meaning is assigned.

The feather does not speak or seek meaning. As a center of silence, it affirms its connection with the world only through subtle responsiveness. Silence is an autonomous form of expression equal to speech and an act of receiving what is present. This work is a practice of an open and quiet ethics, distinct from modern values based on subjectivity and self-realization. Silence and solitude are not a separation from the world but a resonance with it, and each being is a participant in that relation through its mere presence. Silence carries responsibility. Therefore, I do not leave the interpretation of meaning to the viewer.

The bird is no longer here.
